In Germany and many other countries, SATA is a leading spray gun manufacturer. Its history begins a very long time ago. In 1906 with the aim of producing surgical instruments and supplies, but only in 1988 there was the market launch of the SATAjet 2000 HVLP spray gun and year by year it went on adding new models.
These high volume low pressure (HVLP) spray guns will increase the speed of your project along with the quality.
The company wants to maintain its quality and business, for this reason, Sata allows some certain websites to sell their products so it could be difficult to find an orginal Sata product with great discounts, but don’t give up and go on searching!
This company does not sell spray guns only. It produces all the necessary tools required for painting such as custom hoses, compressors, needles and even digital readouts.
Sometimes called “first-class tools” they are used more in car painting field and built to last cause they’re for people who paint almost everyday so they have to be, and actually are, lightweight and ergonomic so as to not strain the hand of the user; they’re extremely efficient at getting paint from the nozzle to the car with as little overspray as possible, because every molecule of overspray is money wasted, and paint is very expensive, especially if you’re using several gallons per day and finally they are built to deliver the same spray pattern every time the painter pulls the trigger.
But negative aspect is that maybe they’re not designed for people who have to use it one time only, or for a day of diy impetus! So you could find them a bit expensive (keep in mind that Sata products are used by Kenny Maisano, owner of Mascar Autobody & Paint in Costa Mesa, California) and think that it’s not worth buying them. One of the reasons that make Sata Guns so special is the high-quality of raw materials used. If you’ll compare the fluid tips and air caps with the less expensive guns you’ll see that the air passages are much more precisely drilled.
SATA’s HVLP (high-volume, low-pressure) spray guns are distinguished by high-transfer efficiency that saves large quantities of expensive paint material.
SATA’s RP (reduced pressure) spray guns feature optimized high pressure. Their transfer efficiency is only a bit lower than HVLP and they provide an easy change from conventional high-pressure spray guns to more efficient spray guns.
Great professionists that used SATA HVLP Jetstream and MiniJet said that “fan coverage was excellent, especially for the flake after using a 2.5 tip”. ” And then “The MiniJet, with the quick release cups, was good for small panels and pattern work.” The guns’ chrome-plated bodies makes them easy to clean, and the chrome is wear resistant.
Most common problems
It seems that this company does its job very well cause no problems are found with their guns but even if you’ll have problems of any kind don’t worry! The official website provide a full detailed page where you can find common problems for beginners and their related solutions!
Maybe we can say that people complain only the higher price than other Guns, and the fact that the company doesn’t provide an official e-commerce, drives many people to buy used tools or products on other sites without original warranty (when they can’t find them in local shops).
This could be a problem if you need some new parts of your gun and you cannot find them.
Sata provides you with a good warranty plan. You will be granted for SATA paint spray guns, filters or air fed respirators a prolonged warranty period free of charge (1 year + 2 years = 3 years), provided you return to shop within 30 days after purchasing date the duly filled Premium Warranty Form or effects the Premium Warranty Registration via the Internet.
